Cobourg Marina Boat Lift-In Operations Postponed Until Further Notice

In Local

The Town of Cobourg would like to inform residents that the Cobourg Marina Boat Lift-In operations initially scheduled for May 13-15, 2021 will be postponed until further notice.

In consultation with the Town of Cobourg’s Emergency Control Group and Marina staff, the operational boat lift-in process at the Cobourg Marina was carefully evaluated from a safety perspective. Although Provincial Regulations do permit boat lift-in activity at marinas, Cobourg’s boat lift-in process involves several volunteers, and in the interest of their safety and compliance with the Stay-At Home Order, it was determined that the boat lift-in process at the Cobourg Marina should be postponed until further notice.

“We understand that this is unfortunate news for our boaters, however community safety is paramount and in keeping with the current Stay-At-Home Order and enacted Emergency Declaration, we must ensure all necessary safety protocols and public health regulations and guidelines are enforced,” said Teresa Behan, Deputy Director for the Community Services Division.

The Town of Cobourg and Marina staff thank you for your patience and consideration and will further communicate a revised lift-in date when the Stay-At-Home Order has been lifted. For any questions or concerns please call the Town of Cobourg’s Marina Office at 905-372-2397.
