Walmart in Cobourg Prepares for State of Emergency

Workers were busy at Walmart in Cobourg on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 preparing for the State of Emergency orders.


The new orders which take effect at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 restrict discount and big box stores in-person retail sales to grocery items, pet care supplies, household cleaning supplies, pharmaceutical items, health care items, and personal care items only.


On Wednesday evening staff were blocking off certain aisles and marking sections that are temporarily closed.


In some areas of the food section some were completely sold out.
