Story Behind The Photo of Premier Ford Signing Drawings at the CCC

In Editor Choice, Local

Three children at Junior Set Nursery School in Cobourg were given the special assignment of drawing what has changed in their lives since COVID-19 and what they miss.

Junior Set Nursery School was approached by the Rotary Club of Cobourg Covid-19 Committee to create drawings to be used at the Over 80 Mass Vaccination Clinic running at the Cobourg Community Centre. The drawings represent the children’s thoughts about what has changed in their lives and what they are missing.

When Premier Ford visited the Mass Vaccination Clinic in Cobourg on Monday, the Premier graciously signed the drawings for the children as a keepsake.

Caleb Hodgins, 5 years old – wants to go to Great Wolf Lodge and see others things with his family.

Noah Harper, 4 years old – Wants to go on adventures with his grandparents and cousins.

Karsyn Teixeira, 3.5 years old – Wants to see her friends smiles and play at their houses.

Although the children likely aren’t aware at this young age of who Premier Ford is, Bruce said when they get older it will be one of the nicer memories for them of COVID to have their drawings signed.
