Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious collision that happened on Highway 401 just east of Newcastle on Thursday, March 11, 2021.
At approximately 10:20 a.m. emergency services responded to the area of the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 just east of Newcastle.
It appears a vehicle rolled over several times coming to rest on the median wall.
OPP have stated the eastbound lanes are closed at Mill Street while they investigate a collision where the driver was taken to hospital with “serious injuries.”
Westbound traffic is also advised to use caution and watch for emergency vehicles.
