High Winds Result In Rough Water On Lake Ontario

In Photo Gallery, Weather

High winds over the last few days have churned up Lake Ontario with white caps.

In both Port Hope and Cobourg the waves are smashing against the break walls, starting to create ice forms.

Waterfowl by the thousands have flocked to the bay area inside Cobourg Harbour to stay clear of the wind.

For those venturing out onto the east pier in Cobourg it’s advisable to stay clear of the icy edges.
