On Monday, October 19th, at approximately 1:37 pm, officers on patrol in the downtown area observed a man known to be wanted on an outstanding warrant with the Peterborough Police Service.
As a result, police arrested 30-year-old Peter James MUNRO of Cobourg on the strength of the warrant. Upon further investigation, police determined that the bicycle that the man was riding had been reported stolen.
MUNRO was arrested and charged with the following offences:
1. Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 – contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code
2. Breach of Probation contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code x2
MUNRO was released with a later court date.
