Northumberland OPP – Driver Charged With Impaired Driving in Brighton

On Monday August 31, 2020, shortly before 1:30 pm, members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to the area of Veterans Way and Main Street after receiving a report of an individual who was observed in the drivers seat of a grey Lincoln SUV, consuming what was believed to be an alcoholic beverage.

Officers located the vehicle and found the operator to be under the influence of alcohol. As a result of the investigation Kathleen BOOTH (age 72) of Brighton, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)

The accused is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on November 4, 2020.
