Durham Police – Suspect Arrested for Sexual Assault in Scugog

Investigators have charged a 21-year-old suspect after a sexual assault investigation involving a 14-year-old female victim.

On the evening of Tuesday, August 25,2020, the suspect contacted the 14-year-old female victim, who was not known to him, through the Snapchat app.

On two previous occasions, the suspect used the location setting on the App to locate her and attempted to persuade her to go with him.

The suspect eventually met up with the victim in Scugog.

The suspect, who was operating a blue Subaru drove the victim to a remote parking lot in Nestleton, where she was sexually assaulted.

The victim didn’t suffer any physical injuries and police were contacted.

Investigators are looking for any witnesses that may have seen the vehicle during this time frame in that location to come forward with any information.

Hunter OLLIVIERRE, age 21, of Morning Glory Road in Pefferlaw is charged with Sexual Assault; Sexual Interference; Invitation to Sexual Touching and Luring a Child.

He was held for a bail hearing.

Investigators are releasing a photo of the suspect to ensure that there are no further victims. The photo is attached or can be viewed at www.drps.ca under Newsroom.
