Peterborough County OPP – Stolen Vehicle Involved in Collision

On July 10, 2020 at approximately 7:45am members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a motor vehicle collision on County Road 620. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was stolen from Otonabee-South Monaghan Township. A second vehicle at the scene of the collision was found to be stolen from the City of Peterborough.

William HARRIS (age 19) of Brampton, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

· Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5000-4 counts

· Possession of a Schedule I substance-opioid

 

Zachary MCIVOR (age 25) of Peterborough, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

· Possession of Property obtained by crime under $5000-4 counts

· Possession of a Schedule I substance-opioid

· Failure to comply with undertaking

· Failure to comply with release order-other than to attend court

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on September 16, 2020.

A warrant will be sought for a female that suffered minor injuries in the collision.
