Wicklow Beach Kept Clean – For The Most Part

In Local

People seemed to have found their oasis now that a number of beaches have closed due to COVID-19.

Wicklow Beach in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on Sunday, July 12, 2020 had a number of people enjoying themselves along the shoreline.

Although there was no garbage visible along the shoreline, a short distance away in a wooded area by the boat launch there was a number of piles of garbage.

Ironically, the garbage is approximately four metres away from a garbage receptacle and porta-potty.
