Cobourg Police – Adult Male Arrested for Theft and Fail to Comply with Probation

Adult male arrested for Theft and Fail to Comply with Probation On Thursday, July 6th, 2020, at approximately 1:00 pm, Cobourg police attended a business in the north-west end of Cobourg in regards to a theft call involving a male and female who stole approximately $300 worth of merchandise.

After viewing the surveillance video, the male suspect was identified as Eric BREMNER.

On Tuesday, July 7th, 2020 at approximately 8:00 pm, 44-year-old, Eric BREMNER, of Cobourg was located, arrested and charged with the following offences:

1. Theft Under $5,000 – Contrary to Section 322(1) of the Criminal Code.

2. Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 – Contrary to Section 354(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

3. Fail to Comply with Probation Order – Contrary to Section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code.

BREMNER was released on an undertaking with conditions to a court date in August of 2020.
