Pickup Hauling Forklift On Highway 401 Flips East of Cobourg

A OPP Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspector is investigating after a pickup truck hauling a forklift on a trailer flipped over east of Cobourg on Thursday, May 21, 2020.

The collision happened at approximately 3:30 p.m. on the westbound lanes of the Highway approximately one kilometre east of Nagle Road.

The driver said the trailer started fish-tailing and lost control.

Both the pickup and the trailer with the forklift flipped over near the median wall.

Emergency services closed two lanes of the highway for the removal of the vehicles.

The driver walked away uninjured.
