Breaking News – Cobourg Police – Two People In Custody and Over Six Ounces of Cocaine Seized Following Warrant

Two people are in custody and Cobourg Police recovered over six ounces of cocaine following a search warrant on Monday, May 4, 2020.

The search warrant at a residence on Victoria Street in Cobourg, north of University Avenue West was conducted at approximately 7 p.m.

Today’s Northumberland was told residents heard a loud “bang” and saw a number of police officers, some in tactical gear outside the residence a short time later.

Police Services commonly utilize a “flash bang” to distract the occupants of a residence where a search warrant is being conducted.

Today’s Northumberland will update when more information becomes available.
