Some People Just Like to Travel Around During COVID-19 While Others Make The Best of It

In Local

A check around Cobourg and Port Hope on Sunday, April 19, 2020 shows people are still getting out.

With the restrictions on COVID-19, a number of people still seems to be travelling against the advice of authorities.

In Port Hope a couple in a camper said they were on their way back to Quebec after taking a cross Canada trip.

They decided to stop in Port Hope for their first time and were thrilled to see all the fish in the Ganaraska River.

Another couple from Pickering would just out for a drive and stopped to see the fish south of Jocelyn Street.

In Cobourg it was much the same, with two surfers from the Toronto area enjoying the waves of Lake Ontario.

A father and daughter seemed to be enjoying the windy day flying a kite on Cobourg beach until an auxiliary officer told them it wasn’t allowed.

And a seven and five-year-old brother and sister from Cobourg were having a blast on the east pier as they were dressed in rain gear from head to toe enjoying the waves coming down on them while their father stood close by keeping an eye on them.
