Northumberland OPP – Thousands of Dollars In Tools Stolen

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the theft of $50,000 – $75,000 worth of tools from a construction company located on Purdy Road north of the town of Colborne.

The theft is believed to have occurred during the overnight hours of April 10 – April 11, 2020. An employee arrived at work on the morning of April 11, 2020 and found the lock to the front gate of the property had been cut, it was then discovered that five locked shipping containers that stored the tools had also been breached.

The tools reported stolen include but are not limited to the following:

· Mikasa Jumping Jacks (3)
· Wacker gas plate compactors (2)
· Cat 2200 watt gas generators (2)
· Honda 2500 watt generators (2)
· Wacker 5600 watt generators (2)
· Husqvarna K760 power cutter saw (1)
· Stihl TS 420 Cutquik saws (2)
· Dewalt battery powered compound mitre saw (1)
· A few Honda 2 inch gas pumps
· Submersible 2 inch electric pumps (4)

The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with this ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with information to call their nearest OPP detachment.
