In Local

In consultation with Dr. Lynn Noseworthy, the Medical Officer of Health for the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge District Health Unit, we have made significant changes to our services and programming.

Several non-essential municipal facilities will be closed, effective 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, March 14, 2020 until further notice.

Closed facilities include:

• Jack Burger Sports Complex

• Town Park Recreation Centre

• Ruth Clarke Activity Centre for Seniors

• The Port Hope Public Library

• Port Hope Community Hub

• The Marketing and Tourism Office (20 Queen Street)

All recreation programs, camps, activities, and bookings that are scheduled to take place in these facilities will be cancelled.

Full refunds will be issued to patrons. As this situation is developing quickly, additional cancellations and closures may be implemented at any time.

Please continue to monitor our website and the official municipal social media channels for updates.
