Since March 2017, a dedicated group of volunteers have been collecting and cataloguing sports memorabilia and historical information. The goal is to preserve and share the rich legacy of sport to be found in our communities. The Cobourg and District Sports Hall of Fame has been fortunate to be generously supported through donations of cash, materials and services by local businesses, community groups and individuals.

Nominations for induction to the 2020 Cobourg and District Sports Hall of Fame were submitted by members of the community until September 30, 2019. Over the past several months, an independent selection committee reviewed the nominations and selected the inductees who will be announced on March 1st. The formal induction ceremony will take place in Cobourg on June 20, 2020 at the Best Western Plus Inn & Convention Centre.

The Cobourg and District Sports Hall of Fame encompasses the Town of Cobourg, Townships of Alnwick-Haldimand, Cramahe, Hamilton and Alderville First Nation.
The Cobourg Community Centre is located at 750 D’Arcy Street in Cobourg and the public is invited to attend.
