Vehicles Slide Off Slippery Road South of Perrytown

In Police Blotter

Emergency services responded to multiple vehicles that had gone off the road on County Road 10 just south of the 7th Concession on Thursday, February 27, 2020.

At approximately 1:50 p.m. emergency services including Northumberland OPP, Northumberland County Paramedics and Port Hope Fire Department responded to County Road 10 north of Port Hope, just south of Perrytown.

Three vehicles went into the ditch at different locations in the area. There were high winds and drifting snow at the time of the incident.

It appears all the vehicles were travelling southbound, rounded a bend on County Road 10 and went into the ditch.

A van struck a tree, but the driver wasn’t seriously injured. Other drivers waited in their vehicles to be towed out.

County Road 10 was closed for a period of time while emergency services were on scene.
