Brighton Welcomes Doctor To Area

In Local

The Municipality of Brighton is pleased to announce that it has entered into a service agreement with Dr. Erin Gow to provide additional medical services in Brighton.

Beginning in March, Dr. Gow will continue her full-time family medicine practice, as well as employ a Nurse Practitioner to assist with providing medical services for an additional patient roster of at least 800 patients who are currently unattached to a family physician.

Mayor Brian Ostrander said, “the Municipality is working hard to help stabilize healthcare needs in Brighton. Engaging with a professional physician recruiter, nurturing private partnerships for health services and now partnering with Dr. Gow to help provide access to a Nurse Practitioner.

We will continue to work with all of our healthcare professionals on your behalf as we seek innovative ways to help you gain access to primary healthcare.” In a separate lease agreement with the municipality, Dr. Gow will relocate her practice to the new addition in the Brighton Health Services Centre at 170 Main Street, Brighton.

The Municipality of Brighton has been working to address physician recruitment and retention, as well as other health services needs in the community.

In 2019, the municipality joined forces with the City of Quinte West and the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation as a partner in their Physician Recruitment and Retention program, and earlier this month the Pharmasave Brighton Clinic Pharmacy announced that Lifelabs medical services will be offered at their Brighton location.
