Burst Pipe Causes Damage At Northumberland County Housing In Cobourg

Cobourg Fire Department were dispatched to a broken pipe in a first floor ceiling hallway at a Northumberland County housing complex on Tuesday, February 4, 2020.

At approximately 9 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to 330 King Street East (Windermere Place) after a pipe broke in the ceiling.

Firefighters quickly placed items in front of doors to a number of apartments to try and prevent water from entering.

Firefighters found a switch to shut off the water to the pipe and then tried the best they could to clear the water from the area.

Damage to the building has yet to be assessed.
