Port Hope Police – Man Charged During R.I.D.E.

On the 9th of December 2019 Port Hope Police officers were conducting a R.I.D.E program.

Shortly after 2:30am a vehicle came through the Program.

Information was received that the man’s driving privileges was suspended. The man was subsequently arrested for the offence.

Further investigation revealed the man was in possession of cannabis in contravention of the Federal Cannabis Act.

49 year old George COOKE is facing charges of possession over 30 grams, possession of cannabis for the purpose of selling.

He is further charged with driving with cannabis readily available to driver and driving under suspension.

He appears in court in February.
