Six Artists from Across Canada Descended on Cobourg Over The Weekend.

In Community, Local

Filming for New Marblemedia Productions took place around the harbour for a new production for Canada’s Landscape Artist of the Year (based on a UK television production) that included approximately 45 cast and crew members.

An award-winning independent production company, marblemedia creates premium content for Canadian and global audiences. A similar production by Marble Media featuring a glassblowing competition called “Blown Away” is streaming now on Makeful and Netflix.

In this new unscripted series, marblemedia invited six artists from across Canada to paint beautiful and dynamic landscapes within a four hour time limit. Each artist is given a “studio pod” to paint within to capture the landscape. In this episode, the artists are challenged to paint the incredible vista of the Cobourg Marina.

Filming was completed along the esplanade at approximately 4 p.m. Judging was to take place along the east pier, but because of high winds it was moved to the centre pier area by the marina.
