Murdoch Wraps Up Filming In Cobourg

CBC Murdoch Mysteries series wrapped up two days of filming in Cobourg on September 17/18.

Set in a Toronto police station in 1907, the series focuses on dashing Detective William Murdoch (Yannick Bisson) – a methodical man who keeps abreast of the latest developments in the forensics field to pioneer innovative techniques that solve the city’s most gruesome murders.

More than 80 cast and crew members with the Shaftesbury Murdoch XIII Inc. production company came to Cobourg for filming residential scenes set at the turn of the century – largely on Bagot and Ontario streets – as well as the south side of Victoria Hall downtown.

This project was supported by the town, and Cobourg Police Services worked directly with the production company for safety and traffic control.
