Cobourg Police – Man Arrested for Theft

The Cobourg police have charged a man after conducting a foot patrol in the downtown core of Cobourg on Thursday, July 11, 2019 at approximately 11:40 am. Cobourg police received information about two suspects that were involved in a theft that occurred at a local business on Tuesday, July 9, 2019. Police located one man that matched the description provided by the victims.

Because of a subsequent police investigation, 37-year-old Ryan Conroy of Cobourg, was arrested and charged with Theft contrary to section 334(b) of the Criminal Code and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to section 355(b) of the Criminal Code.

Ryan Conroy was released on a Promise to Appear and an Officer in Charge Undertaking for the court date in August 2019.
