OPP Street Crime Unit – Female Facing Numerous Charges

An investigation led by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) from Peterborough County resulted in the arrest of a female on May 29, 2019. The female has been charged with offences rela ted to thefts from locations in North Kawartha Township, Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township and the Municipality of Brighton. A large amount of stolen property has been recovered.

Jennifer BRIDGES (age 38) of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen Township, Ontario was arrested and charged with:

Theft over $5000

Break, enter dwelling house-commit indictable offence

Possession of property obtained by crime-three counts

Trafficking in stolen goods obtained by crime

Possession of a Schedule I substance-methamphetamine

Possession of a Schedule I substance-opioid

Fail to comply with proba tion order

The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough later today for a bail hearing.

The investigation is ongoing.
