The Cobourg Police Service reminds members of the public that it has information to share on crime prevention through environmental design.

Councillor Aaron Burchat shared the reminder at this week’s council meeting, saying that this is a service offered to home and business owners to make simple adjustments that could prevent crime.

“They conduct a walk-through audit, explaining ways to improve the safety and security of your property,” Burchat said.

“They are reaching out to victims of crime to offer this free service so the owners can feel safe again, but anyone is welcome to one.”

For more information or to request an audit, go online, or contact the police station (at 107 King St. W., or call 905-372-6812).
