Vehicle Strikes Trees In Cobourg

One person was taken to hospital after a vehicle struck two trees in Cobourg early Tuesday, May 14, 2019.

At approximately 12:37 a.m. emergency services were called to Ontario Street at Sutherland Crescent for a motor vehicle collision.

A vehicle was travelling northbound on Ontario Street when it went off the road, side swiping on tree, before hitting another tree head-on and breaking it off.
The vehicle came close, but didn’t strike a gas meter or a nearby hydro box.

The driver was taken to hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

No word on charges
