Weather Dampens The Spirit Of Anglers On Opening Day of Trout Season

In Local, Weather

With the unseasonal temperatures there was a much lower than expected turnout of anglers on area waterways for the opening of trout seasons.
Today’s Northumberland did speak with a number of anglers from the area along with families who came from Kingston and a number of anglers came from Quebec to fish the creeks in the Cobourg and Port Hope area.
Joey Di-Cienzo from Hamilton proudly showed a few of  the fish caught along Cobourg Creek.
Along with anglers there were a number of Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry Conservation Officers checking licenses and watching for fishing infractions including trespassing.
