CCI Senior Team Heads To Provincial “Reach for the Top” Championship in May

In Local

The Cobourg Collegiate Institute Senior Reach Team won the Lakeshore Regional Championship and will be competing in the Provincial “Reach for the Top” Championship in May.
Reach for the Top is a team trivia competition that demands knowledge of math, science, history, art, music, current events and more. Teams compete in Junior (grades 9 and 10) and senior (grades 11 and 12) divisions and the winning senior team qualifies for provincials, which are held at the University of Toronto. The Senior Wolves finished with a record of 13 wins and 3 losses this season.
According to CCI coach Scott Parr, “The top public and private schools in the province will be represented at provincials. The competition will be fierce.” This is the third straight year that CCI has represented the Lakeshore division, and hopefully this experience will help them in the competition.
