Woman Walks Away Unhurt After Car Strikes Tree

A woman is lucky to be alive after the vehicle she was driving struck a tree on March 19, 2019 in Alnwick/Haldimand Township.
Emergency crews were called to the area of County Road 29 for a motor vehicle collision at approximately 1 p.m.
Crews were dispatched to the area of County Road 29 and County Road 45, but found the collision several kilometres east of County Road 45, just east of Fanning Road.
Northumberland OPP say the driver was heading westbound when she swerved to avoid an animal, lost control and the passengers side struck a tree.
A passerby came upon the collision shortly after it happened and the woman was treated for minor injuries at the scene and released by Northumberland County Paramedics.
