Warrant Arrest:
A 43-year-old has been charged with numerous offences after a credit card was stolen and various purchases were made.
On 06 November, 2018, a female reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle which contained a quantity of her identification and a credit card.
It was then discovered that several purchases had been made at retail outlets in Peterborough using the complainant’s credit card. The value of the purchases was under $5000. Through police investigation a suspect was identified and a warrant was requested for his arrest.
On October 10, 2018 at approximately 3:00 A.M., police were called to a suspicious male attempting to enter vehicles on Park Street. Police attended and a male fled the area. He was subsequently apprehended. It was discovered that the male was the same male involved in using the stolen credit card.
Justin Black, 43, of no fixed address was arrested on the strength of the noted arrest warrant. He was charged with Use of Credit Card x6, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5000 x2 and Breach of Probation x2
He was subsequently released from custody to appear in court on November 01, 2018.
Sexual Assault:
A 17-year-old male has been charged with sexual assault after a female had her buttocks slapped and breast grabbed.
On October 17, 2018 a male and female were studying in a stairwell of a high school in Peterborough. The female victim was standing at one point and the male, 17, slapped her on the buttocks. She told the male that she did not want him doing that. The male then grabbed the female by the breast. The victim then left the stairwell and reported what happened to school staff, who in turn contacted police.
Police attended and arrested the 17-year-old male with sexual assault. He was released from custody to appear in court on November 01, 2018.
Under the Youth Criminal Justice Act the name of a young person cannot be released.
