Quinte West OPP – Three Males Charged With Drugs and Loaded Firearm

(QUINTE WEST, ON) – On August 30, 2018 offi cers from the Quinte West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol conduct a traffic stop on South Trent Street in the City of Quinte West after observing a traffic violation.
Officers form the OPP Community Street Crime Unit assisted the uniform officers due to an ongoing drug investigation involving the involved persons; three males were arrested as a result.

Keith Shawn DENNIS – 33 years of age, Andrew Charles BIGGS – 34 years of age and Dayne Anthony Ricardo JONES – 31 years of age were charged with:
Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) for the Purpose of Trafficking S.5(2) CDSA
Possession of Controlled Substance (Fentanyl) for the Purpose of Trafficking S.5(2) CDSA
Possession of Controlled Substance (Crystal Methamphetamine) for the Purpose of Trafficking S.5(2) CDSA
Possession of a loaded Firearm S.95(a) CC

DENNIS was additionally charged with:
Possession of a Firearm while Prohibited S.117.01(1) CC and
Obstruct Peace Officer S.129(a) CC

JONES was also charged with Obstructing a Peace Officer S. 129(a) CC and

BIGGS was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marihuana) S. 4(1) CDSA
A search of the motor vehicle resulted in the seizure of the follow:
A Loaded Pistol
40 Grams of Purple Fentanyl
97 Grams of Cocaine
27 Grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
All accused were held in custody for a Bail Hearing and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice located at 15 Bridge Street West in the city of Belleville on August 31, 2018.
