Cobourg Police – Man Arrested for Assault with a Weapon/Shoe

The Cobourg Police have arrested a man for assault with a weapon after responding to an altercation at a local motel.
On Monday, the 20th of August, 2018, at approximately 7:40 pm, police attended a motel in Cobourg after a woman reported being struck with a shoe. The woman did not receive any injuries as a result of the assault.
As a result of the police investigation, 30 year old AJ Rasmussens of Cobourg was charged with assault and assault with a weapon and released on a Promise to Appear with an impending court date and an Officer in Charge Undertaking with conditions.
