OPP City of Kawartha Lakes – Homicide/Suicide

(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are continuing their investigation in what is now being treated as a homicide/suicide incident in the City of Kawartha Lakes.

On Sunday August 19, 2018 at approximately 9:25 a.m., OPP officers responded to an address on Spen Haven Road in the City of Kawartha Lakes where two adults were found deceased at the location.

They are now identified as Wendy ALLAN, 51 years-old, and John ALLAN, 63 years-old, both of Emily Township. Preliminary investigation reveals that the female’s death was the result of a homicide.

The investigation is ongoing by members of the OPP City of Kawartha Lakes Major Crime Unit, OPP Central Region Forensic Identification Services (FIS), under the direct ion of Detective Inspector Matt Watson of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
