Unknown Substance Draining Into Lake Ontario

In Local, News

Cobourg Fire Department responded to the bottom of Green Street south of Bay Street to reports of an unknown liquid entering Lake Ontario from a storm drain run off at approximately 8:30 p.m. on August 9, 2018.

Concerned residents noticed the orange coloured liquid and called emergency services.

The cause was determined to be construction work in the area of Queen Street and the run off of rust.
