Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office Releases Cause of Apartment Fire In Port Hope

The scene at 48 Wellington St. has been turned over to the owners and the insurers as of 4:00pm today said Port Hope Police.   Officials from the OFM have determined the cause of the fire was accidental due to electrical failure. The scene will remain closed to tenants until it is deemed safe for people to enter. Any further inquiries should be directed to the building management of 48 Wellington St.
