Vehicle Impounded After Clocked At 175 kph on Highway 401

Northumberland OPP Traffic Team along with members of the OPP Highway Safety Division and local OPP officers were conducting radar enforcement on Highway 401 eastbound in the Port Hope area.

In the span of just under four hours a total of 37 speeding tickets were handed out to drivers.

One rental vehicle was clocked at 175 kph.  When officers pulled the white four door car over, they found along with three adults there was a small child in the car.

The driver’s license was seized for seven days along with the rental car being impounded for seven days.
