New Pipe Band For Cobourg Police

Exclusive – Today’s Northumberland has learned the Cobourg Police may be announcing on at their annual awards ceremony on Wednesday evening they will be funding a new pipe band.
The Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums will remain, but the police service is funding for new uniforms including tartans for a pipe band of the Cobourg Police.
Funding is likely to come from the criminal record checks department of the service that could reach over $20,000.
It will be mainly comprised of members of the Cobourg Legion Pipe Band, but when they are parading for the police service they will be wearing uniforms representing the Cobourg Police.
E-mails sent to the Cobourg Police Chief Kai Liu and Cobourg Police Services Board Chair Marg Godawa were not returned.
