Surveillance Images of Theft Suspect – Whitby

Investigators are releasing surveillance images of a woman suspected of stealing baby formula from a grocery store earlier this year.

On Tuesday January 23, 2018, at approximately 2:00 p.m., an employee at the Real Canadian Superstore on Taunton Road in Whitby reported a female suspect stole a quantity of baby formula.  The suspect fled the store to a waiting vehicle.

Investigators are releasing surveillance images of the theft suspect in an effort to identify her.

The suspect is described as: female, white, in her 30s, with black hair. She was wearing a black shirt and jacket, camo patterned jeans and white running shoes.

Anyone with new information about this incident is asked to contact D/Cst.Van Belleghem of the Central West Division Criminal Investigations Bureau at 1-888-579-1520, ext. 1854.

Anonymous tips can be made to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or online at www.durhamregionalcrimestoppers.ca and tipsters may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000.
