Port Hope Figure Skating Club, Competition Results

The Skaters at the Port Hope Figure Skating Club have had a busy season. Some have been competing since October!

Morgan Garland attended Skokie Skate in Huntsville October 20 to 22, 2017, placing 1st in Gold Triathlon
She was in Keswick November 24 to 26 placing 2nd in Star 9 Short Program and 4th in Gold Freeskate, her friend Avaia LaFortune achieved Gold status in her Star 3 Solo!

At Winter Skate in Whitby, January 26 to 28, 2018 Alyssa Batchellor placed 8th in Star 5, Chantal Kloosterman placed 14th in Bronze Triathlon, Morgan Garland placed 1st in Gold Triathlon and Meaghan Caldwell achieved Silver status in her Star 2 Solo.

The Northumberland Durham Interclub was hosted by Port Perry, Saturday February 10, 2018, where Avaia LaFortune and Bianca Ferguson were 2nd in Bronze Interpretive Couples and Avaia achieved Gold status in Star 3 solo, while Bianca achieved Silver status in Star 2 solo. They had a great day representing the Port Hope Figure Skating Club.

The Gloucester Skating club hosted the Elizabeth Manley Classic February 23 to 25, 2018 where Morgan Garland won the Gold Triathlon, qualifying her for Provincials with the highest qualifying score for the 2017/18 season. She was 5th in the Star 9 short and has qualified for both these events at the Skate Ontario Provincials in Kingston March 16 to 18, 2018.

The Port Hope FSC will finish their season hosting a Spring School at the CCC for April and May.
