Windy Weather Along The Cobourg Lakeshore

In Editor Choice, Weather

There were many people along the lakeshore taking advantage of the sunny, but windy weather on Sunday.
Among them were seven people from as far away as Belleville kiteboarding just off the Cobourg beach on Lake Ontario.
The people, mostly dressed for the chilly waters except at least one who wasn’t wearing gloves had to sometimes dodge chunks of ice in the water.
Local kiteboarder Floris Frequin set a personnel best jump reaching a height of 7.8 metres.
A number of people walking along the shoreline paused to admire the kiteboarders on the lake and take in the sunny skies.
While others in the water were dressed to keep warm, others walking along the shoreline may have taken unnecessary risks by walking along the ice.
Others just simply sat on bench and took in the day.
