OPP Investigate Collision – City of Kawartha Lakes

CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON –  Emergency services personnel responded on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at approximately 5:20pm to a two vehicle collision on Sturgeon Road at King’s Wharf Road. The collision involved a passenger vehicle and a tanker truck carrying liquid petroleum gas (propane).

The three occupants of the involved vehicles were all transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

As a precaution, residents in the area were initially evacuated. Residents returned to their homes at approximately 7pm. The roads were reopened in the area at approximately 5:30am on February 15, 2018.

The investigation is continuing.
