No Frills in Cobourg Could Be Hitting The Picket Line

The No Frills store in Cobourg is one of 17 stores that are headed for a possible strike.

Unifor which represents the workers said that more than 1,200 members at the Loblaw owned No Frills could be on strike effective 12:01 a.m. on Monday, November 20, “if the highly profitable corporations refuses to address workers demands for decent pay and work amidst a Canadian afford ability crisis.

The No Frills store in Cobourg is located at 500 Division Street.

Unifor said, 1,287 that could be on strike.

Six percent of those are full-time, 69 percent are part-time non students and 25 percent are part-time students.

The hourly wage full-time is $19.89

The average hourly wage of part-time excluding students is $16.95

The average hourly wage of students is $15.62

The contract expired on October 21, 2023

Other store locations are Ajax, Aylmer, Barrie, Bradford, Etobicoke, Napanee, Niagara Falls, Oshawa, Renfrew, Toronto and Whitby.
