Cobourg Police – Arrest Made in Robbery Investigation

Cobourg Police have arrested a 42-year-old Cobourg man in connection to a robbery and theft that occurred at a business in Cobourg.

On Friday, May 26, 2023, at approximately 1:50 a.m., police were notified of a robbery at a business on King Street West, Cobourg. Cobourg Police believe the same person may have been involved in an incident on May 13, 2023, at the same location.

As a result of the police investigation, Michael Doyle (42) of Cobourg was arrested on July 25, 2023, in connection to the two incidents and charged with robbery, theft under $5,000 and two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

The accused was remanded into custody with a future court date.
