Cobourg Celebrates Canada Day!

What a celebration it was in Cobourg!

Celebrating Canada’s 156th birthday is cause for a celebration anytime.

And on July 1, 2023 like so many other places across this great country, Cobourg had a chance to celebrate with an estimated 10,000 people.

Starting at 10 a.m. with the Canada Day Parade down King Street to Victoria Park was the first order of business.

Thousands lined the streets dressed in red and white. Everyone was in a great mood.

It was an overcast day due to the fires, but Canadians came to celebrate, their culture and diversity.

The Concert Band of Cobourg lead the way along the parade route and proudly played O’Canada followed by a great rendition of Happy Birthday for our great nations birthday.

The annual Waterfront Festival put on by the Lions Club of Cobourg and the Rotary Club of Cobourg started on Friday and ends on Sunday so for those that missed it on Saturday there is still time to come to Cobourg and see the many arts and crafts.
