Municipality of Trent Hills Appoints New Fire Chief

The Municipality of Trent Hills is pleased to announce the appointment of Shawn Jamieson as the Trent Hills Fire Chief.

During his time as the Acting Fire Chief, Shawn consistently demonstrated his suitability to lead the Trent Hills Fire Department through his effective operational management, community-oriented approach, and dedication to the fire service.   In addition to his two years of experience as the Deputy Fire Chief, Shawn has over 13 years of experience as a Volunteer Fire Fighter including two years as a Captain.

“On behalf of Council, I congratulate Chief Jamieson on becoming the next Trent Hills Fire Chief.  His years of experience coupled with his pride in our community and the Trent Hills Fire Department will no doubt make for an easy transition to this permanent role.  We are confident that he will be successful in leading the Trent Hills Fire Department into the future”  said Mayor Crate.

Shawn’s appointment as the Trent Hills Fire Chief is effective immediately.  The Fire Chief plans, organizes and directs all departmental operations.  He provides sound management and leadership as well as strategic direction and  is responsible for the administration and coordination of all Fire Department activities

Plans are underway to recruit for the municipality’s Deputy Fire Chief position.
