City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – RIDE Program Leads to Drug Trafficking Charges

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) charged three individuals with drug trafficking related charges following an interaction at a RIDE program.

On June 10, 2023 just after midnight a vehicle was stopped at a RIDE program and an investigation commenced, as a result all three individuals in the vehicle were arrested and charged.

Brandon BARLEY 25 years old of Kirkfield, Zachary HART 27 years old of Fenelon Falls and Cassandra LONGFIELD 30 years old of Trent Lakes were charged with

  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – Cocaine
  • Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking- Fentanyl
  • Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000 – Cash

The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date.
