Three unanswered goals in the third period powered the Port Hope Panthers to a 4-1 win over the host Napanee Raiders in Game 3 of the Provincial Junior Hockey League Tod Division semifinal series Friday night at the Strathcona Paper Centre.

Port Hope now leads the best-of-seven series 3-0, one game away from advancing to the division final while placing the Raiders on the brink of elimination.

Game 4 is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Jack Burger Sports Complex in Port Hope.

Kieran Flynn scored twice for the Panthers on Friday night, including the game’s opening goal in the first period and the go-ahead marker in the third that stood up has the game-winner.

Isaac Langdon and Drew Clapperton, into an empty net, also scored for Port Hope.

Goaltender Joseph Clark continued his impressive stretch, making 33 saves in the Panthers’ win while Napanee’s Bailey Maracle stopped 18 of the 21 shots he faced in front of close to 700 spectators.
