Exclusive – Cobourg Man Found Guilty of Arson and Mischief Following Fires in Port Hope

A Cobourg man was found guilty of numerous charges including arson after numerous incidents occurred in Port Hope.

Jordan Bradshaw from Cobourg was 27-years-old at the time he was charged with several criminal offences including break and enter and arson following incidents early Saturday morning on December 18, 2021.

Numerous windows were smashed as well along Walton, Mill Street and Peter Streets.

The fires were a garbage container on John Street, two Christmas gnomes which caused minor damage.

A fourth fire caused approximately $80,000 damage to 3M Dance Works located at 104 Peter Street.

Bradshaw was found guilty of mischief (180 days in jail concurrent), arson (365 days in jail concurrent) and arson (447 days in jail concurrent).

Bradshaw was credited for three days of pre-sentence custody.

Bradshaw also received a weapons prohibition, $10 466.72 restitution order and a DNA order.

All other counts on this file were withdrawn.
