Cobourg Cougars Playoff Series Schedule Against Trenton Announced

The first round Ontario Junior Hockey League playoff series between the Cobourg Cougars and Trenton Golden Hawks will get underway Friday night in Trenton.

Game time for that opening contest of the best-of-seven showdown is 7:30 p.m. at the Duncan MacDonald Memorial Gardens.

The Cougars will host Game 2 on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Cobourg Community Centre before the series shifts back to Trenton on Wednesday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.

Game 4 is scheduled for Friday, March 17 in Cobourg at 8 p.m.

The remaining games, if necessary, are: Game 5 – Saturday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. in Trenton; Game 6 – Monday, March 20 at 7 p.m. in Cobourg; and Game 7 – Tuesday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. in Trenton.

This series is a battle between the fourth and fifth place teams in the OJHL’s South/East Conference.

Trenton (36-15-0-3) finished five points ahead of Cobourg (32-16-1-5) in the regular season standings.

Playoff ticket prices for Cougars home games are: Adults (19-60) – $15; Seniors (60+) and Students (13-18) – $10; and Kids (6-12) – $8 or free if wearing a jersey and accompanied by an adult. Children under six are admitted free.
